- Bronchitis

How does ıt work?
Dry salt aerosol is created by a generator, which crushes Pharmaceutical Grade Salt (approved by the Natural Health Products Directorate) into small particles the size of one to ten microns. This salt is smaller than particles contained in cigarette smoke, and even smaller than a red blood cell. Particles bigger than five microns are caught in the nose and throat, while the smaller particles can penetrate deep into the lungs.
These small particles of salt are negatively ionized and bear very high kinetic energy. Salt aerosol gently cleanses human air ways, much like a very soG tooth brush cleans teeth.
The surface areas of our salt rooms are covered with natural Dead Sea Salt, which creates a sterilized, negative ion environment. The microclimate of our salt rooms is three times cleaner than a sterile surgery room in a hospital, therefore it is nearly impossi‐ ble to catch any infection or be affected by bacteria during the therapy. Salt is a natural anti‐bacterial, and it kills almost all bacteria and viruses on contact. In addition, our ventilation system works throughout each Salt Therapy session to circulate the air in the room (so all air
comes into contact with the salt). There is no recycling of air back into the salt rooms. We exhaust the used air out and bring new, fresh air in. All of our chairs, tables and toys are wiped down aGer each session.
Where does Salt Therapy come crom?
For thousands of years, people have recognized the curative power of salt to enhance health and wellbeing. Historical evidence shows that medieval monks once took ill/diseased people to salt caves to have them breathe in salt particles released as the monks crushed stalactites. More recent accounts tell of people during World War II who hid in natural salt caves to escape bombing raids. Not only did the caves keep these people safe from bombs, but their respiratory health improved while they were in hiding, and for a considerable time thereaGer.
Several hospitals in Eastern Europe currently utilize Salt Therapy rooms as part of their course of treatment for patients. Today, the practice of breathing salt‐infused air in a mock salt cave environment has come to the United States in the form of a spa treatment. However, despite its luxurious and relaxing feel, Salt Therapy has only gained in its effectiveness to provide both therapeutic and restorative benefits to those who experience it.
We use only Dead Sea Salt on the surface areas of our Salt Therapy rooms. Going back more than 2,000 years, the Dead Sea has long been considered a place of healing. Historians and travelers alike have noted the special properties of the Dead Sea, claim‐ ing that it healed various ailments, as well as brought great relaxation. Today, medical research and numerous studies have all documented the healing effects of Dead Sea Salt in treating skin conditions and other ailments, including arthritis. The minerals in the salt combine
to help skin hydration and reduce inflammation. At Fusion Therapy, we bring all of the healing benefits of the Dead Sea to you in both our adult and children Salt Therapy rooms.

Is Salt Therapy sace? Are there condıtıons when Salt Therapy ıs not advısable?
Salt Therapy is a safe, drug‐free, natural treatment with very few side effects or contraindications. It provides effective long‐term relief and can be used as your primary treatment, or as a complement to your current course of medical treatment. Salt Therapy should, however, be avoided during the acute phase of any illness. Also, it is best to be avoided during a fever, active TB, or 3rd stage of COPD. Please consult with your physician if pregnant/nursing or suffering from any medical conditions. sıde eccects: In rare occasions, some individuals may experience slight skin irritation from Salt Therapy, which usually disappears aGer a few sessions. Other people may experience a mild throat tickle, which can be easily treated by sipping warm water. If you smoked in the past, you may experience a period of cough
and mucus production as your body naturally clears the lungs of resid‐ ual toxins. These side effects usually subside as the lungs are cleared of toxic mucus.
During Salt Therapy, you are breathing a dry saline aerosol into your respiratory system, not ingesting it into your digestive tract. According to scientific literature, this does not pose any health risk. The amount of salt inhaled during a 45‐minute Salt Therapy session is 100 times LESS than the recommended daily intake of salt. Furthermore, most of the salt inhaled is removed from the lungs by breathing and excreting mucus.
How many sessıons are recommended?
Many people experience improvement aGer just one session, but a series of treatments is oGen recommended to achieve long‐ term results. For mild conditions, five to eight sessions may be enough. For
chronic respiratory and dermatological conditions, we recommend 12 to 30 sessions within as short a time period as feasible. We customize the salt concentration for each unique condition. Salt Therapy is most
effective when it is administered at least twice a week or more frequently. It is advisable to repeat a series of treatments one to three times per year to maintain positive results. For recreational, relaxation and stress‐relieving purposes, come as oGen as you like. For recommendations regarding your personal health goals, please consult one of our Salt Therapy specialists.
What can I expect crom a Salt Therapy sessıon?
For your session, you may dress in regular street clothes or other clean, comfortable clothing. We will provide booties that you can place over your shoes and give you access to a locker where you can safely store your belongings for the duration of your session. Our floor to ceiling Dead Sea Salt‐infused rooms will be soGly lit, with relaxing music played in the background. As you enter the room, you may select your own comfortable, zero‐gravity recliner to relax in. Once the 45‐minute session begins, you simply breathe normally as micronized salt particles are dispersed into the room. People oGen use this time to read, meditate or simply rest. You may taste salt on your lips and/or feel a light salty dusting on your skin. The salt will not harm you or your cloth‐ ing in any way. Some people experience a runny nose, increased mucus production or a slight productive cough during and/or aGer a session. This is the body's natural response to eliminating toxins, viruses and pollens. Most clients feel calm, clear, and healthy aGer a series of treatments.
Is Salt Therapy sace cor chıldren?
Salt Therapy is not only safe for children, it is highly recommended. Our Children's Salt Therapy Room is suitable for children two to twelve years of age (with adult supervision). It is a clinically proven, drug‐free treatment for childhood asthma and other respiratory conditions. Children respond to Salt Therapy even more quickly than do adults, which is why we carefully monitor the salt concentration in the air, and our children’s sessions last only 30 minutes (as opposed to our 45‐minute adult sessions). Our Salt Therapy room for children is like a huge sandbox, except the floor is covered with finely ground Dead Sea Salt instead of sand. The room has sterilized toys, and a table with chairs for activities or homework. We request that children come to sessions in clothing that is clean and free of dirt. Should the shoe coverings we provide be too large to stay on their feet as they play, we ask that children wear clean socks in the salt room. We also
request that children with long hair wear their hair pulled back.
